 About This Document
This document describes the application scenarios, installation, electrical connection, 
commission and troubleshooting of e-On's Combiner Box for the 532 kWh PowerBlock 
Smart Battery Energy Storage System. Before installing and operating the system, 
please ensure that you are familiar with PowerBlock features, functions, and all safety 
precautions as provided in this document. This manual is applicable to the following 
PowerBlock Models:

1. Applicable Scope
 COMBINER  |  USER MANUAL
 The purpose of this product specification is to specify the specifications of Combiner Box 
that interconnects multiple PowerBlock systems. The product is composed of systems that 
provide heating, cooling, power distribution, ventilation and fire suppression. The 
specifications specified herein only apply to Energy Storage System (ESS) product. 
2. Standard Environmental Test Conditions
 Unless otherwise specified, all tests were conducted under the following conditions:
 Ÿ Temperature: 77 °F (+/-) 2°
 Ÿ Humidity: 40% to 80% Relative Humidity
 An asterisk (*) denotes a specification for equipment that has less than 91 days of service 
and has not been stored long-term before use. Actual performance may vary depending on 
many factors.

5.0     Warranty

The warranty period consists of two parts: A shelf life period whereby the equipment has been 
shipped, but not yet installed, and calendar life which commences upon the commissioning of 
the equipment. The calendar life shall extend to 10 years or 60% system degradation of the 
companion storage batteries, whichever comes first. While the unit be still be fully operational, 
for warranty purposes, we shall consider this period to represent the end of life, at which point 
warranty obligations will cease.

6.0     Packaging, Transportation and Storage

The Customer must ensure this equipment is installed by professional, qualified personnel. 
Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the equipment and risk of injury or death to 
personnel. Please observe all applicable safety precautions even those not listed in this 
document. Report any hidden damage to e-On before installation.


6.1     Packaging and Re-Packaging

 The equipment willl arrive with a protective shell of foam and corrugated material, sensitive 
areas will be fortified where necessary. We have used as little material as possibe to reduce 
the carbon footprint of its production.

6.2     Transportation

To avoid water intrusion, transport this unit on a covered truck or hauler. Avoid open transport 
as the chassis is not designed to receive a hard strike from road debris. Tip damage is a 
legitimate concern, slower speeds must be observed. Ensure the load is secured with 
additional strapping or restraint devices to immobilize the load regardless of traffic conditions 
or sudden stops.


 6.3     Storage

In short-term storage situations install desiccant inside the cabinet to discourage condensation. 
Store in a dry area and pack any case openings with steel wool or similar packing material to 
prevent rodent ingress.
